To All Little Monkeys Parents,
It is with bitter-sweetness that I write the last newsletter of the Preschool season. We have gotten to know these littles so well. Five hours a week does not seem like much but when it's constructive time in close quarters you get to know each other pretty well. We have had some really awesome preschoolers again this year!!! So excited for their next step, as many go onto Kindergarten and continue with their Education. The Children have grown A-LOT academically and socially. Socially the kids have come a long way. They have learned how to share and make friends. They have learned how to help each other and have Compassion for one another. Preschoolers have a rough time sometimes. They are just coming out of the me, me, phase into realizing the world is about more than just them and this can be very hard. We can help our children make adjustments to the personalities of different friends. I try to let them work out their differences and intervene when necessary. I thank them for working something out with their friend so they both can be happy again. I know we all wish we could raise our children in a more perfect world without unkind words or deeds. The only thing we can do is start teaching them how to socially function (give and take) and be a good citizen. This is as BIG a part of preschool as Academics and more so for others.
Thursday May 16th will be our field-day for the preschool. We will be spending most of the day outside, please dress appropriately, and send their water bottles, we do have a refilling station.
I want to THANK all the Parents and Grandparents who have come into preschool and helped either with curriculum- snacks, class donations, class Parties-sent items from home -dress-up days and watching the calendar events....this is so helpful to me. Without your help these things are impossible. You are truly appreciated. Thank You Again!!!!!
We have so enjoyed teaching your special children this year, It is always hard when the school year ends and they move on.
I would also like to thank the teachers this year, they have been a great assist to the Preschool and the children love each of them. They have all been so willing to share great ideas, bend down to help a child and give them love to lift them up. I appreciate all they do to make it a great place for the children to come and learn through all our activities. I appreciate all the last minute things they are willing to step in to do and each of them I consider my friend. If you see them please let them know they are appreciated, they have shown love and concern to your child in a world that is full of Hard Stuff Thank you….Mrs. Jen, Mrs. Erin and Mrs. Rachel. Each of you brought your own love, spark and ideas to make the year great.
Each child that comes into preschool has brought a different individual trait and when we combine these we had a great class this year, little bit noisier then usual but still great. Many friendships were made this year. Thank You Again.
